Thijs van Liempd, lawyer employment & employee participation, about working at DVAN

Thijs van Liempd studied law at Tilburg University. He completed his studies with cum laude honours and subsequently spent three months as a work placement student at DVAN in Utrecht. The work placement proved so successful that Thijs – after a seven-month tenure as a member of the legal staff – has been working as a lawyer in DVAN's employment, employee participation & pensions team since January 2013.

‘After having obtained my higher professional education law degree, I decided to continue my law studies at Tilburg University. Risto Larsson, lawyer mergers, acquisitions & restructuring and managing partner, about working at DVAN

Risto Larsson has worked at DVAN since 2000, and has been managing partner at our Rotterdam office since 2013. He opened the Rotterdam office in 2006 and worked to create the practice it is today. Prior to joining us, Risto gained several years of experience as a counsel at various major international firms.

‘At the time, my decision to join this firm was mainly prompted by my positive assessment of the atmosphere at the office and the dynamism of a growing organisation. The atmosphere was relaxed and open, and offered plenty of room for individual initiative. Most people here have an enterprising attitude and interact in a pleasant and respectful manner.’

Ton van Oosten studied private and corporate law at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He also obtained a Master's degree in Law and Economics. He eventually joined DVAN in 2013, where he is responsible for the corporate law practice at the firm's Rotterdam office.

‘I went to work for some of the larger law firms in the Netherlands after my time at university. That was a very conscious decision. I've always felt at home there and still maintain good relationships with my former colleagues. After having gained experience as a lawyer, I eventually joined DVAN where I am now responsible for the corporate law practice at our Rotterdam office.’
